Who Says Texas Girls Can't Have Good Hair Days?

Houston is notorious for bad hair days. With humidity levels that are through the roof it is not uncommon to spend up to an hour on your 'do, only to have it fall flat the second you walk out the door. At times falling flat is the least of your worries, because at other times the weather will also leave your hair full of static. I don't know about you, but the I just stuck my finger in a light socket is not the look that I am going for..ever! 

 Always on the lookout for new products to combat the inevitable I was excited to receive the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream from Glamour to sample. The cream contains encapsulated olive oil spheres which help to renew shine and fight frizz all day. 

Yesterday I first tried it out while getting ready to go to an outdoor concert. I figured if it would hold up to that then it would work in any condition! The results were very good! After seven hours in the blaring heat there was no static to be found and my hair was still shiny! 

Another plus for this product is that you only use a pea size amount each day, so it will last for quite some time. That is something that I always like to factor in when buying salon brands! 

All in all I say the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream is one to check out..and that even Texas girls can hair good hair days with the right products! 

Redken and Glamour Celebrate Diamond Oil

Last night I attended an event at David, Etc. in Houston. This was a collaboration between Redken and Glamour to get the word out about the new Diamond Oil line. Using an exclusive formula of silicone free hair oils, Diamond Oil helps to strengthen and protect hair. Bonus points are also given for the fact that it makes hair super shiny and sparkly!

I Can See Clearly Now..

 Well clear hair that is! Thanks to to latest Glambassador Challege I was gifted with the CLEAR Scalp and Hair Therapy:

 Just like the other handy dandy Crystal Light packets, the Mocktails packet pours right into your pitcher for an easy treat. I sampled the Appletini flavor which was sweet and fruity. 

Simple to make, low in calories and a great taste! Who can resist? And with 5 yummy flavors that answer is nobody!

Thanks to Glamour I recently had the chance to do some research on Skinny Cow! Hard work, I know! ;) 

The hard part was choosing which product to pick out of the grocery store freezer!  Hey this Texas heat is nothing to take lightly and a temporary relief  is always needed! 

The product I choose was the Chocolate Truffle. Let me just say...YUM!!! Their decadent taste will fool you because since they use low fat ice cream they are able to bring this yummy goodness to us in just 100 calories! How is this even possible? I have no idea, but thanks to Nestle and Skinny Cow they have found a way!

Nothing makes me happier than great skin! So when the Glambassadors program asked me to try out Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser I was excited. 

After years of using the Biore Pore Strips I had high hopes for the brand's cleanser. It did not disappoint. With my overly sensitive skin breakouts are an unfortunate occurrence when trying many new products. In the case of the Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser I had no issues with pesky breakouts. It left my face feeling moisturized, very soft. The product sells at a very competitive price point and I say it is a very good addition to my beauty routine!

Straight Off the Runway...

I could buy this outfit I created on Polyvore. One of our Glambassador projects recently was designing an outfit around these beautiful Simon G. earrings. I do believe this Gucci dress and Christian Louboutin heels do them justice! Unfortunately with my recent travel obsession a nearly $1,400 dress is not in the cards, or shall I say budget!
