Happy Turkey Day!

So once again it is that time.....

Time for the holiday traditions to begin again.

Time for me to once again watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and exclaim that next year I will in NYC to watch it in person, though that has yet to be accomplished!

Time for Santa to signal the start of the holiday season...now hurry up and start shopping!

Time for those yummy baked rolls, dressing, turkey and mashed potatoes. Pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and many more delicious treats are sure to pack on more calories than one should eat in an entire month...but they are oh so tasty!

I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Also know that I am thankful for each of you who actually take the time out to read my blog. I have so enjoyed getting to know so many amazing bloggers from all parts of the globe.

Have a great day!

Happy Monday

Even though I know this is a three day work week, it doesn't necessarily make it any easier to hear the alarm go off. But as a wise bloggy friend once told me, I owe, I owe, so off to work I go! :)

Did you all have a good weekend? Mine was a lot of fun. We went to a concert and then out to dinner and had laughs with a new friend who came into town for the weekend, caught up with an old friend and her adorable children and then we had movie night. Movie night consists of eating really bad for you food and watching a random movie that we have seen probably twenty times already.

Now back to the real world for three days and then turkey, dressing and my favorite little dinner rolls! :)

What do you all have lined up for this week?

Things That I Could Have Done Without Seeing On Facebook

1. Photos of others in lingerie. Unless Hugh Hefner is paying you millions, please keep them to yourself or at least do not post them online for you and your 400 friends to see.

2. Photos of others PREGNANT in lingerie. This shocker actually happened to my friend, who as you can imagine was shocked when there was her coworker, baby belly and all, in all of her lacy glory.

3. Photos of others and the dead carcasses that they just gunned down. While I personally could never hunt and would rather eat lettuce and berries if that were my only option, I really do not understand how someone could be so proud of killing an innocent animal that they post photos holding up the poor creatures. Bambi's may you rest in peace.

4. Conversations that should remain private. If your wife is cheating on you then I am sorry, but take it to the judge or a marriage counselor. Confronting her on facebook, while it may be very Young and the Restless, is probably not the best way to solve an infidelity.

5. Photos of injuries, skin cancer lesions, or anything else that is going to make me wish that I had not eaten dinner right before logging on to facebook. If you have run out of vacation photos, cute kiddos or puppy pics, then might I suggest stepping away from the computer before you go so far as putting an open wound as your profile picture. Eww!

Have You Seen This Etsy Shop?

This week our Etsy shop, Top Notch Gear, comes to us from September in Michigan. Specializing in handmade bracelets, luggage tags, keychains and more, all of the items are constructed using different knots and parachute cord. The knots also have a hidden use...when in a pinch just unravel them and the cord can be used as shoelaces, tie downs, etc. All colors can be customized to your liking as well!
The East Lansing Paracord Survival Bracelet

Constructed of paracord, this material will not shrink in water. This particular color combo is in support of the Michigan State Spartans, but feel free to customize the look with your favorite team's colors. Available in kids to adult x-large.

The Boston - Paracord Luggage Strap

Make your luggage stand out in a crowd with the Paracord Luggage Strap. You will never have to wonder which black bag is yours with this colorful helper!

The Rasta - 3 Color Paracord Bracelet

The Rasta is constructed of paracord that if need be can be used for fishing line or small repair jobs. Though, I am sure only in dire emergencies would one want to deconstruct this colorful work!

This week if you are the lucky winner you have your choice from two great prizes:

First choice: The Moon Rock Accessory/Utility Cord Survival Bracelet

or the: Standard Monkey Fist Key Chain

To enter:

1. Check out Top Notch Gear. Come back here and comment on your favorite item(s).

Happy Monday

I am a little late on this one, but when I saw this puppy Hulk on Cute Overload he was too cute not to share.
If this doesn't make you laugh on a Monday I just don't know what will!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was spent with a birthday party, decorating for a baby shower, a trip to IKEA and an all night chat fest with a dear friend, laughing until 4 in the morning. Isn't it wonderful how surrounding yourself with fun and positive people can really change your mood!

Happy Monday to you all! Anything to report today?

Why Do You Taunt Me So???

Dear Mr. Louboutin,

Why do you continue to taunt me so? Your continuous reminders that I am but a mere mortal who can not spend a month's mortgage on shoes is making me very sad. But if a windfall of money should come my way in the next season I am quite sure the following shoes and I would create wonderful memories together!

Suede Metallic Square Pump

Ambertina

Bikiki

Relika

Maralena
And on a side note:

What is up with the model for Saks? Why does she look like a Yeti wearing really hot boots? Those boots should be on someone who knows how to comb their hair, someone who takes pride in not looking Yeti-like! Perhaps someone like yours truly! ;)

That is all for now! Thank you for your time! :)

Happy Monday

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I am very thankful for the fact that I had an extra hour of sleep this weekend, that I finally got the really cute jacket that I have been wanting, plus scored a 40% off an entire purchase coupon to use the day after Thanksgiving at the same time, (at Express, go now if you want the coupon booklet)! I had a lazy Sunday afternoon catching up on Project Runway while Barkley looked on with me. He kept mum on who he favored! ;)

This week will be filled with work and then a birthday party at the end of the week. Who knows what else will pop up to fill in the blanks!

What do you all have planned for the week ahead and how did you spend your weekend?
Do tell! :)

Don't forget to enter the "Have You Seen This Etsy Shop?" contest this week!

Halloween Weekend Recap

Finally I have caught up on my sleep enough to catch my blog up on the Halloween festivities! I promised I would come bearing pictures so here goes...

Before heading out I made a few minor adjustments to my Mad Hatter costume. Adding boots and removing a jacket that was included made it much more concert ready!

After leaving Houston Friday morning, then passing through San Francisco we landed in Reno, Nevada. The mountain views were gorgeous from our room at the Grand Sierra Resort.

My friend Shyanne flew in from New Mexico for the weekend as well and we started off our trip by gambling in downtown. We all lost! :( LOL!

Gabe is giving the slot machine a piece of his mind for taking his moolah!

The slot machines can make your head spin after awhile.

Thankfully we had other ways to spend the better part of our Saturday! The last Papa Roach show of their Monsters of Annihilation tour was that night.

Gabe and I dressed up for the show. Here I am with the pimp daddy himself. LOL!

Of course I can't chronicle a Papa Roach show without adding a couple of pictures of the guys themselves! Here I am with them making fun of me for blinking! LOL! I love those goofballs.

Here we all are during meet and greet. Not sure why I look six months pregnant here, but rest assured I am not! ;)
We had an amazing weekend of costumes, friends, awesome music, parties, meeting great new people and travel.

Now it is your turn! I want to hear all about your Halloween fun!
