Britney Makes Her Big Comeback Under the Big Top

Last night I went to see Britney Spears' Circus tour. After dealing with so many issues publicly I must say that Britney is back! She did a great job, mostly performing her newer songs, with a few oldies thrown in, well oldies circa 1997.

The show was awesome, with a few Cirque du Soliel type moments, beautiful outfits and a really cool stage. They did a great montage of all of the Britney moments, which made everyone remember what made her a star to begin with.

Love her or hate her, everyone has an opinion of Britney. My opinion of her is one of a girl that has had a really hard time getting her life back on track, but is finally on the road to recovery. It was good to see Britney finally being the ringmaster to the circus that is her life!

A Few Things that I Have Realized

I celebrated my 34th birthday a couple of weeks ago. I use the term celebrated loosely, meaning I greatly enjoy the cake and presents, but would rather just continue to say that I am 29. I realize now, though, that I am no spring chicky and I need to do a few things to get prepared.

1. Start saving up now for botox. I could also try to get on E!'s Dr.90210, because I think the people on there usually look amazing.
2. Start memorizing the menu for Denny's since I will soon be getting the senior citizen discount! Nothing like a Moons over my Hammy at 3 pm!
3. I must get better at bingo! I really suck at it and I must start winning if it is going to help me supplement my income when I retire!
4. Stop checking my mail. Yesterday I was feeling just fine. I was having a good hair day and not feeling TOO old, until I opened my mailbox. Inside was a brochure, not addressed to resident, but with my full name, so they knew EXACTLY who they were targeting. What you may ask, was this brochure that was the catalyst for me writing this blog and for making me feel twice my age? It was for a hearing aid! Maybe I can't see quite as well as I used to, but gosh darn it I can still hear!

Ready for Spring!

Once a month I write a blog for my etsy team, Design Style Guide. I wanted to share my blog that I wrote this month to get everyone in the mood for spring!

That pesky little groundhog may have not have blessed us with an early spring this year, but that doesn't mean that we can't get ready for it now! The following items will have you on a mental spring break even if the weather may not be cooperating just yet.

Nothing says spring like two little birds and this pillow is adorable. It is from pkfairady's shop and can be found by clicking here:http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9821666.

This is a lovely photo from kennafoster's shop and can be found at: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=19925851.

This modern poppy design really adds a splash of color to this pillow from pillowhappy's shop and can be purchased by clicking here:http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=17496094.

This mixed media piece from nicoleraephotos's shop is the perfect fuschia to get anyone out of their winter blah's. It is available at: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13399782.

So, if you are living somewhere that is still cold and bleak, just remember that you can find ways to brighten up your home until the seasons change.

Vacation Recap

We just got home from an awesome week in California, so of course I have pics to share!

We started off at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach, which was very beautiful.

We drove down to Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. Those two towns have got to be two of the prettiest beach towns anywhere. Disney's California Adventure was fun, especially Soarin' which is one the best rides, but it was too cold to ride some of the rides there. There were still people riding the water raft ride there and getting soaked! They must have been from Antarctica!
Disneyland was a great time and I got to ride my favorite ride from any of the Disney Parks-the Indian Jones Adventure.

Gabe had our teacups spinning so fast that I don't know how we were able to get these pics, but I think they are hilarious!

After a few days spent in Huntington Beach and Anaheim, we drove over to Hollywood and stayed at the Sofitel the rest of the week. We got to go to tapings of the Chelsea Lately show, The Price is Right,(we did not get to come on down, but will be on the show April 2nd), and ELLEN!!

The Ellen show films at Warner Brothers and it was such a fun show to be a part of. We were on the episode with Carol Burnett and were also the studio audience used to film the segment with Anderson Cooper that will be shown this week.

Here is Gabe practicing his wink that he thought was going to get him a part in a big Hollywood production. We are back home, so obviously that wink didn't quite work out!

We finished up the week doing the normal touristy things, like going to the Chinese theater, the Kodak theater, shopping, checking out the Hollywood Sign and trying to spot some celebrities! The weather was quite cold for this time of year, but all in all it was a great vacation!

Happy Birthday Pup!

Today was Barkley's fifth birthday and I have officially lost my mind! We just got home from vacation, but didn't want to forget his big day. We threw a last minute party complete with family, friends, lovely gifts and a puppy cake!
