Have You Seen This Etsy Shop?

Aloha! This week our Etsy shop comes from the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Sea Babe, a very fitting name for a jewelry shop from Hawaii, offers the creations from Kristin, an eco-friendly designer. With earrings, necklaces and bracelets made from reclaimed materials there is truly something for every taste at Sea Babe. Kristin also welcomes custom work if something in a different style or color is desired.
Let's take a look:

Gold Filled Ruby, Citrine, Garnet Gemstone Cascade Earrings

Featuring three briolette's one in Ruby, Citrine and Garnet hang from the hand wire wrapped chains made of 14K gold fill. These would also make a beautiful gift for someone born in November, which Citrine is the birthstone.

Luscious Lemons, Lemon Topaz Earrings on Handmade Sterling Silver Earwires

Made with sterling silver earwires and 13x10 mm Topaz briolettes these sparkling earrings are an overall length of 1.5 inches.

Amazing Moss Aquamarine Solitaire Necklace

Aquamarine is one of my personal favorite stones as it is also my birthstone, but I had not seen this Moss Aquamarine before. It certainly caught my eye though, as it is stunning! Hanging from a gold filled chain this 20X12mm stone is sure to be a statement piece.

Have You Seen This Etsy Shop?

Designs by Tracy Brigham, our Etsy shop this week, opened in March 2010 after persuasion from Tracy's daughter to do so. After watching her mom perfect her skills making jewelry by working with gemstones and beads, she knew that there would be a market for these items. I am sure you all will agree with that sentiment when you see the offerings at Designs by Tracy Brigham. Not only does Tracy create jewelry, but she also makes wine glass charms, napkin rings and hummingbird feeders.

Tracy would like to extend a special offer for all of the Joy De Vivre readers from now until next Monday at the close of the feature. Just enter coupon code FEATURE at checkout and you will receive 10% your entire purchase!

Amazonite Drop Earrings with Sterling Silver Chain

Measuring approximately 2.5 inches in length, the Amazonite gemstone beads and 5 strands of sterling silver chain make for a very modern look. Swarovski Bronze Pearl Stretch Bracelet

The 8mm and 4mm beads create a bracelet that stretches to fit up to an 8 inch wrist. If a different size is needed feel free to contact Tracy for a more customized fit. Green Rutilated Quartz and Sterling Silver Necklace

Happy Monday!

I know I have just about missed Monday altogether, but I wanted to say hello! Plus I came bearing gifts in the form of this beautiful sunset photo from flickr. See if I would have been early you all would have been greeted with pictures of cereal or a happy face and may never have seen this gorgeousness. :)

How was your weekend?

After finishing up a very long work week on Saturday I finally managed to get my Christmas shopping finished. Whew! I was cutting it close this year!

Three more days and then vacation time! At this point I am looking forward to time off as much as I am looking forward to the Christmas festivities! Barkley, my blanket, fuzzy slippers and old movies are the plan for the beginning of my week off next week. Am I getting old when I am excited to rest? LOL! At this point I am too tired to care! ;)

Speaking of fuzzy slippers, how cute are these? I wonder if it is too late to add them to my Christmas list, though I am pretty sure my pup would think they were his toys and rip them to shreds.

They are just a tad bit more practical than the other cat inspired shoes that I purchased this past weekend:

LOL! Just a little different from the tiger slippers! Though something tells me after a night out wearing these I will need those comfy slippers.

Fill me in on your lives! I have missed chatting with you all!

Never Before Has 52 Looked So Cool!

On this day in 1958 a future Rock God was born. And after a few years, some hair dye, lots of makeup and a name change he became Nikki Sixx.

Sure my parents weren't thrilled when at the age of 12 I had my entire bedroom plastered with posters of Motley Crue. Years later though my mom and I met Tommy Lee and he charmed her so she is now over the trauma! LOL! While Tommy is cool there is only one Rock God!

And today I would like to wish him a very Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Nikki!
Now hurry up and get back on the road for Crue Fest 3! :)

Buried by Holiday Cheer

Am I the only one feeling a little overwhelmed by Christmas this year? It could be the fact that the likelihood of having a day off is looking slim for me in the foreseeable future, but the stress level is rising. Presents to buy, presents to mail and the fact that my dining room table is still piled with ornaments left to find their perfect place on the tree is making me feel more like the Grinch than jolly St. Nick!

I have at least started though:

The small tree in my living room is up and fully decorated in gold, purple and wine. I am really beginning to enjoy that tree so much that is has me contemplating a larger tree for that room. Please remind me that I am crazy if I mention to you all next year about buying yet another tree! ;) One 7 foot tree and three 3 feet trees have found their way into my home so I do believe I need to stop the madness! The bright lights of Christmas do somehow have a calming effect, despite the mad dashes to and fro that come with the season.

So as I try to dig myself out of the piles of Christmas decor, Barkley has found himself right in the middle of them. I swear I have more pictures of the pupster than some of my friends have of their real non furry children. I don't know if that is sadder for them or for me! LOL!

Where do you all stand on your preparations for the big day? Please tell me I am not the only one running behind!

Happy Turkey Day!

So once again it is that time.....

Time for the holiday traditions to begin again.

Time for me to once again watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and exclaim that next year I will in NYC to watch it in person, though that has yet to be accomplished!

Time for Santa to signal the start of the holiday season...now hurry up and start shopping!

Time for those yummy baked rolls, dressing, turkey and mashed potatoes. Pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and many more delicious treats are sure to pack on more calories than one should eat in an entire month...but they are oh so tasty!

I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Also know that I am thankful for each of you who actually take the time out to read my blog. I have so enjoyed getting to know so many amazing bloggers from all parts of the globe.

Have a great day!

Happy Monday

Even though I know this is a three day work week, it doesn't necessarily make it any easier to hear the alarm go off. But as a wise bloggy friend once told me, I owe, I owe, so off to work I go! :)

Did you all have a good weekend? Mine was a lot of fun. We went to a concert and then out to dinner and had laughs with a new friend who came into town for the weekend, caught up with an old friend and her adorable children and then we had movie night. Movie night consists of eating really bad for you food and watching a random movie that we have seen probably twenty times already.

Now back to the real world for three days and then turkey, dressing and my favorite little dinner rolls! :)

What do you all have lined up for this week?

Things That I Could Have Done Without Seeing On Facebook

1. Photos of others in lingerie. Unless Hugh Hefner is paying you millions, please keep them to yourself or at least do not post them online for you and your 400 friends to see.

2. Photos of others PREGNANT in lingerie. This shocker actually happened to my friend, who as you can imagine was shocked when there was her coworker, baby belly and all, in all of her lacy glory.

3. Photos of others and the dead carcasses that they just gunned down. While I personally could never hunt and would rather eat lettuce and berries if that were my only option, I really do not understand how someone could be so proud of killing an innocent animal that they post photos holding up the poor creatures. Bambi's may you rest in peace.

4. Conversations that should remain private. If your wife is cheating on you then I am sorry, but take it to the judge or a marriage counselor. Confronting her on facebook, while it may be very Young and the Restless, is probably not the best way to solve an infidelity.

5. Photos of injuries, skin cancer lesions, or anything else that is going to make me wish that I had not eaten dinner right before logging on to facebook. If you have run out of vacation photos, cute kiddos or puppy pics, then might I suggest stepping away from the computer before you go so far as putting an open wound as your profile picture. Eww!

This week our Etsy shop, Top Notch Gear, comes to us from September in Michigan. Specializing in handmade bracelets, luggage tags, keychains and more, all of the items are constructed using different knots and parachute cord. The Rasta - 3 Color Paracord Bracelet

The Rasta is constructed of paracord that if need be can be used for fishing line or small repair jobs. Though, I am sure only in dire emergencies would one want to deconstruct this colorful work!
