Things that I want to accomplish in the new year

I do not like resolutions as most of the things I do I truly enjoy and do not wish to give up, chocolate and shopping being my favorites. I also am very stubborn and once I make up my mind to do something I try my hardest to stick with it. A few years ago my New Year's resolution was to eat salad everyday for lunch at work. Every single work day that year I had salad and that that ended my ever wanting to have a resolution again. Don't get me wrong, I love salad but my first name is not Bugs, last name Bunny. I do like a sandwich or fast food every once in a while. Now, instead, I prefer to make a seemingly meaningless list to pass the time. Things that I wish to accomplish just to make my life more fun. This year I did most of them, but not all. We will see how 2008 stacks up. Here goes"

  • Finally get to NYC so that I can see the Yankees play at Yankee stadium before they get their new home.
  • Get on Don't Forget the Lyrics. I know good and well that I can not sing. I am not like those crazed delusional people on American Idol. I do though, have a great memory for song lyrics and truly believe I could win a ton of money.
  • Get on Oprah. Everyone who knows me knows this is one every year. One of my life's goals is to get on Oprah. For what you may ask! And to this I say-for whatever! I have emailed in on just about every topic imaginable. Except the topics about money, like I said I enjoy shopping and not even Oprah will get me to turn around about that!
That is all I can think of now, but when I am not sleep deprived I will come back and add more!

My wish has finally come true!

I have a very eclectic taste in music. My favorite type of music though has always been rock and Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue has been my favorite rock dude since I was twelve years old. My mom was not very happy when I threw out my Barbies to make room for tapes,(it WAS the 80's), black t-shirts and pictures of men in makeup all over my walls.

Since I was twelve, and I won't reveal what year that was as that information will have to make me face the fact that I am no longer 20, I have met many rock stars that I enjoy listening to. The one man that I had never had the opportunity to met in person though was Nikki. Fortunately though this past Sunday I FINALLY had the chance to meet him at a signing for his book and I must say he was definitely worth waiting to meet. He is such a humble, cool, down to earth guy that it makes me happy to have been a fan for so long. Anyone who is interested should check out his website at: http://www.nikkisixx.net/
He has a really inspiring book out and a great new album.

If I were not sitting on this computer, places I would rather be...

  1. Hollywood because I love the shopping and the excitement.
  2. Walt Disney World because it is the most wonderful place ever.
  3. Nashville because then I could see my family!
  4. Maui so I could go back to the black beach in Hana.
  5. Austin because it is fun and really cool at night.
  6. NYC because I have never been and I think it would be beautiful at Christmas time.
