On My Radar

This week I have some various things that I am loving. Shoes, clothes add in a dose of Disney and throw in a little oil to keep you young! What's not to love?

Sure I generally want to wear a minimum of 4 inch heels to hike up what I am lacking vertically, but these sandals are the perfect turquoise color, extremely comfy and too darn cute. They make it okay to be a shorty for the day!

The print on this skirt caught my eye online, so much so that I made my way to the new Highland Village Anthro in Houston to see it in person. Unfortunately that day they were repaving the parking lot and getting to the store meant having to walk down a lane of traffic on one of the busiest streets in town. Not to worry...I was always good at playing Frogger and I now have the Eero skirt in my closet!

24 Hours of Disney

As part of a promotion for the upcoming film Monsters University Disney announced that they will be opening select parks for 24 hours on May 24. It also just so happens that yours truly has a day planned at Disneyland on that day!

While browsing in Sephora one day I was looking for a product that they did not have in stock. The sales associate offered her advice that the Maracuja Oil was far superior to what I originally came in for and gave me a sample. At first I was a bit hesitant to add oil to my face. Would I wake up looking like a teen on a Proactive commercial? That would not be good and it is my belief that by the time you are old enough to have wrinkles you should not also have to face pimples. Not to fear! The Maracuja Oil worked wonders! It makes your face so soft and it helps to smooth out wrinkles.

When in Doubt...Rock it Out

Lately I have been really stressed out about some things. One thing that always helps to pick me up though is listening to music and especially going to live shows. I've been trying to fit in as many concerts as possible into my schedule...because frankly it is cheaper than therapy when I am having a bad day!

This week we were able to catch Three Days Grace when they came through Houston. As you may know they have a new singer. Matt, from My Darkest Days is filling in. Being a fan of MDD it was very exciting to see how Matt fit into the lineup. Let me say I think he did a fantastic job! I truly enjoyed the show better than I did the last time I saw them with their original singer. If you have not heard Three Days Grace with Matt here is a sample:

Is it bad that I feel guilty when I neglect my blog? Well I do!! Sometimes it seems like life gets in the way of doing the extra things. The things that you love sometimes fall by the wayside. But I am happy to be back to my little blog and I hope to reconnect with my blog friends!

Curve Appeal

I am generally pretty predictable when it comes to fragrance. I generally wear the same few that I have been stuck on for years. So when Glamour sent me a sample of curve appeal I was more than happy to get out of my fragrance rut and give it a shot! And my take on it is...

Very cool! Very springy! It has notes of apple, jasmine, amber and vanilla, but none are overpowering.

If you are looking for a new scent for the new season you should definitely check out curve appeal!

Living Proof

If you live in, or have ever visited the fine state of Texas you probably have learned a few things. One, it is big. Two, it is humid. Three, the humidity causes BIG problems for your hair.

Since I have lived in Houston my entire life I am constantly trying to find ways to help my 'do fight the climate here. When Glamour sent me a sample of Living Proof Prime Style Extender that promised to extend my style I was willing to see if it truly delivered!

This product is a hair primer that is used after shampooing hair. It is made to leave in and can be used alone or layered with other products. I wanted to try it out alone so that I could truly judge it. Living Proof prime style extender really did seem to help keep my hair bouncy and my curls intact. On a daily basis I abuse my hair with heating tools and also I highlight it once a  month so it is very dry. Due to this I could have used another product to make it a little more shiny, but the Living Proof did go beyond my expectations.

After a long day my curls were stick holding up which does not happen often, so I give this product an A+ as well as a "must keep in my beauty arsenal for humid weather"!

With Warmer Weather on the Way...

We are all looking for zero-calorie ways to stay hydrated. With the new Crystal Light Liquid you need not look any further!

Glamour recently sent me the Strawberry Lemonade flavor drink mix to try out. It is delicious and the bottle makes it convenient to carry around and add to your water when on the go or out at a restaurant. Now there is no reason to not put down those sugary beverages and drink water...with Crystal Light mixed in of course!

I Can See Clearly Now..

Well clear hair that is! Thanks to to latest Glambassador Challege I was gifted with the CLEAR Scalp and Hair Therapy:

Not only does it leave your hair looking lovely, but it also makes it stronger and healthier! A serious perk if you have been a faux blonde for as many years as I have! ;)

I give the shampoo and conditioner 5 stars as it is affordable, easily accessible, left my hair feeling clean and product free and does not weigh my curls down.
