There's an Imaginary Party and You Are All Invited

From time to time I will see an article of clothing that sets my brain off in a frenzy. What could be worn with it? Where would I wear it? By the time the crazy cycle stops I already have the shoes, clothing, jewelry, undergarments and the event to wear it to all planned out in my mind. It is all very Becky Bloomwood of me. Sometimes though I will see something that I can not with a clear conscience purchase and so I will just plan it all for my imaginary life. It is a sad fact, I must confess, that my imaginary life is much more exciting and dare I say, fabulous, than my actual life.

In this case these shoes:

have me planning a 70's themed party, but not in a bad fuzzy pimp hat way.

This party will be stylish and will require me to wear this dress:

And while there will be no aforementioned pimp hats, be it purple leopard or otherwise, there will be plenty of flashy gold:

Of course most of my ensemble is not exactly budget friendly, but in my imaginary wardrobe I can purchase whatever I want. Bonus-no interest and no drained checking account!

How perfectly would my party outfit fit into this video?

I could practically have been a backup dancer wearing that! ;)

So I already know that I am crazy, but do any of you make up scenarios to wear your dream wardrobe to?

I'm not much of a shoe kind of gal (I know, I know!) so this post cracks me up!
And the earrings? Prepare for a shocker: I don't even have my ears pierced!!!
Lol, I'm so lame :)

I do this too!!! I haven't been shopping for a while...stupid pay cuts at work. BUT I plan to use my Express coupon and get a b-day outfit for my b-day next month =)

You have great taste in fashion I must say!

LambAround-I wish I were not! LOL! I would have much more money and space. A friend of mine doesn't have her ears pierced. She thinks it is disgusting to poke a hole through your skin, so you are not alone in not having them. If I had to do it now I wouldn't. That mess hurts! ;)

StunningAnnaK-Thanks! I am glad I am not alone! ;)

Aleutie-It is one of my favorites as well. I was born in the 70's, but more remember growing up in the 80's. I still feel like I missed a fun period in history!

stylethread-Thank you and thanks for all the support you have been giving to my blog! I really appreciate it! :)

PeppermintSageDesigns-I hope you find something great! I used my coupon this weekend. I even got extra savings when the cashier quoted me the wrong price while he was helping me with an unmarked item. He later realized that the item was actully $20 more than he had thought, but he insisted he still give it to me for the lower price since he had made a mistake.

PS Thanks so much for the compliment! I LOVE fashion, design, anything creative really.
